The Envola TERRA or FREE storage heat pumps use energy from the ambient air, the building's exhaust air and the energy stored in the storage tank to supply the building. In this way, the innovative system can supply the building with heating and cooling in both heating and cooling mode with minimal energy consumption. During the transitional periods, the building is heated exclusively from the storage tank without the heat pump running.
In heating mode, the Envola storage heat pump recovers energy from the building's exhaust air. In cooling mode, the storage tank "collects" the coolness of the night by releasing heat to the outside air and uses it to cool the building during the day. In this way, the system works with the smallest temperature differences and achieves the greatest possible efficiency
This demand-driven system control is achieved with intelligent measurement, control and regulation technology, the Envola Smart Energy Control. All system components are equipped with sensors and communicate permanently with the control unit so that energy and fresh air requirements in the building are transmitted live and can be operated precisely according to demand.
