MicroShade® is a passive and highly effective shading solution that is fully integrated into double or triple insulating glazing to provide optimum solar control while maintaining the view to the outside and ensuring pleasant daylight conditions.
MicroShade Film® is perforated and therefore has a micro-honeycomb structure. This reflects the incident direct solar radiation outwards depending on the angle. When the sun is high, a particularly large amount of radiation is shielded, while at low angles of incidence, such as in winter, a comparatively large amount of solar radiation is transmitted. The film also has a UV and IR-reflective coating.
