Sustainability or aesthetic design? VitrA Bad shows just how charmingly the two can work together with its world first: the new Outline bowl made from Re-Ceramic, the world's first countertop bowl made exclusively from recycled raw materials, i.e. sorted and broken sanitary ceramics. This production waste, which is usually disposed of, is shredded and reprocessed in an innovative process. Compared to the production of conventional countertop bowls, Vitra Bad saves five kilograms of raw materials (36 percent reduction in material consumption) and 2.48 kWh of electricity (38 percent reduction in electricity consumption) when producing each bowl from Re-Ceramic. Overall, the impact on global warming in the production of the new Outline bowls is reduced by 30 percent. The elegant bowls are now available in the attractive color Taupe Matt with a homogeneous, natural surface and in five gently rounded shapes: round, oval, rectangular, trapezoidal and asymmetrical. They are recyclable and just as high-quality and durable as conventional sanitary ceramics.
