The new Silva and Strata collections by 2Tec2 are rooted in nature and weave its essence into sustainable floor coverings. Silva is the Latin name for ‘wood’ or ‘forest’, and this perfectly epitomises this floor covering. With a single step you are transported to an ancient woodland, where the branches and leaves sway to the rhythm of the breeze and thus create a unique play of shadows. The design is inspired by the trunk of a majestic tree, with grains that seem to stretch ever further. The layers of the earth serve as inspiration for the Strata collection and are clearly incorporated into the design. As a silent witness to our evolution, the stratification in rocks and stones creates a robust play of lines – a symbol of timeless progress. Strata’s line motif lives and breathes: with endless variation, the natural pattern creates fascinating markings on the floor.
