The "HALL" floors from Loopwood made from reclaimed scaffolding planks combine sustainability with aesthetics and functionality. Each floor tells its own story through its unique grain, which has been shaped by time and nature, and gives every room an incomparable ambience. Over time, the floors gain character, becoming more unique day by day, yet always remaining robust and durable. We currently offer two different surface finishes that emphasize the individual style of each room.
The used wood for our floors is pre-cleaned by hand. Nails and other metal remnants are removed with a hammer and chisel. The surface then undergoes a multi-step process in which an array of brushes of different strengths is used to polish the surface. Soft wooden components are reduced in the process. The brushing hardens the wood and enhances its durability, much like a hardwood floor. But the natural structure of the used wood is preserved.
The Loopwood floor made of used wood is more than a stylish floor covering – it is a statement about sustainability. The production of flooring made of used wood conserves resources and protects the environment. What’s more, all of the spruce wood for scaffolding boards that is later used to make our vintage floors comes from sustainable forestry. Thanks to their unique character and their special patina, the Loopwood floors will certainly create an unforgettable and stylish setting in every room.
